If writing is an art, then, blogging is one way of using words to come up with an art. This is because people who are into blogging are the ones who are artistic on their own sense, carefully choosing words that would best describe their feelings, sentiments, wishes, desires, and everything. Basically, blogs were first introduced as weblogs that refer to a “server’s log file.” It was created when web logging hit the virtual market. Since its inception in the mid-1990s, web logging gradually saturated the virtual community making the Internet a viable source of greater information.

However, with web logging, you still need a web site and domain names, but with blogging, you do not need anything just an account with blog providers. In most cases, these kinds of blogs are free of charge. With the onset of blogging in the industry, personal journaling had been a common ground for people who wish to be known all over the world. However, not literally famous as this is not a case on being popular or well-known personality.

Generally, blogs are created for personal use. Like a journal, people can write their daily adventures, sentiments, and whatever ideas they want to express online. Nevertheless, with the advent of the online businesses, blogs had gradually taken the limelight in providing businesses a chance to boost their productivity online. This is where the business blogs have taken the limelight.

Business blogs are, basically, created to advertise the services or products of a certain web site or online business in order to increase online sales. Moreover, business blogs are also one way of promoting the company so that the other readers will know that a certain company exists online. With blogs, entrepreneurs are able to establish a name in the virtual market through articles that can be very useful in the reader’s life.

From there, you can make money out of blogs by simply syndicating it to your business’ web site. This can be done through the RSS technology. So, if you are thinking to create a blog, whether for business or for pleasure, you need to know some tips that could help you get through and make your blog one of the interesting blogs online.

Here’s how:

1. Consider your audience

Even if your blog is generally personal, still, it would be better to consider the minds of your readers. You have to think of something that would interest them.

After all, most of the reasons of people who write blogs are not at all confined to their own personal motives. Most of them would love to be “heard” (or read) and would love to be known, in some way or another, even for just a minute. Hence, it is very important to come with a write up that everybody can understand, not necessarily that these people can relate to it but they can understand it.

2. Pictures speaks a thousand words

To make your blogging worth the browsing effort of your readers, it would be extremely nice if you will put some pictures in it. It does not necessarily mean you have to place a picture of yourself. Any photographs will do as long as it does not pose danger or insult to anyone who will be reading your blog.

3. Make constructive and beneficial blogs

Even if you are free to write anything you wan to say to the world, still, it would be better to create some write-ups that would be beneficial to your readers.

After all, its information technology that you have there so better be inclined to provide information rather than sheer quirky entertainment.

4. Avoid making multifaceted and complicated blogs

In order to have an interesting blogs, try not to use some highly technical and highfalutin words. After all, it is not a science discourse or a debate that you are making, so better stick to simple facts and short blogs.

Bear in mind that most people who use the Internet usually do more scanning than scrutinizing each site word for word. Therefore, it would be better to come with blogs that will not bore your readers just because you have these lengthy articles.

5. Make it interactive

As much as possible and if your capacity will allow it, make your blog interactive. Yu can do this by placing some video or audio clips in your blog.

You can even place an area for comments or for some feedbacks. In this way, you can get some impressions or reactions of other people. Who knows, you might even gain some friends just by making them feel at home in your blog site.

Indeed, blogs are not created just for the mere fun of it. It also has its own purpose in the world of the Internet.

Therefore, for people who wish to harness their craft, as far as writing is concerned, blogs are the best way to do it.

As they say, blogging is the contemporary term of creative and commercial writing.

Ten Must Knows When Renting A Car

Most of us use the convenience of a rental car when traveling and generally select a car rental at random right outside the airport or train station. Now things are different you can arrange to rental a car online and specify your pick up and drop off point. There are directories where many companies are featured and you can easily compare the services as well as pricing of different car rental companies.

As a discerning consumer it would be a great advantage if you kept in mind:

1. That you need to keep the paper work ready before renting a car. You need to be over 25 years old, have a valid driving license, have an ID card that is universally accepted, your social security number may be required too. Before you make arrangements, check whether your driver’s license is valid where you intend to go. Otherwise be sure to apply for the requisite permissions.

2. Find out whether the car has currently valid insurance and whether it has passed a road test recently. Ask specifically whether the car’s papers are in good order and when it was last serviced. Consider opting for damage coverage many rental companies make the offer for a nominal amount.

3. Check what the rental charges cover and whether there is an extra charge payable for drop off and pick up of the vehicle. Some companies offer the service for free while others do charge an extra amount.

4. Always ask for confirmation of booking and read through the terms and conditions thoroughly.

5. Check what the refueling options are. Most rental companies offer conveniences like getting a car with a full tank or filling the fuel yourself. You need to decide what is most feasible.

6. Always comparison shop for good rates. If your dates are flexible ask about special offers and discount periods. Rental companies also run promotional schemes so be sure to know what is on offer and how it will benefit you. If you book early you will get better rates than closer to the date of use. Rates also vary depending on the kind of car you wish to rent. Ask whether you are eligible for any discounts.

7. Choose a car that will fulfill your needs. Find out about luggage storage and racks , how many the car will seat comfortably, and whether or not the heater/air conditioner are working.

8. Most companies will not accept cash so make arrangements to carry a card with a low limit for making payment. Also if your company has a regular contract with the car rental then use their relationship to make arrangements. You will get superior service as well as a god rate.

9. If you are traveling with a companion decide whether the companion will drive the rental car too. If yes ask the company what their policies are regarding an additional driver.

10. Take down the 24/7 numbers of customer service and numbers where the car rental people can be contacted on an emergency.

The keys areas in car rental are good customer service, flexibility, great vehicle selection, and excellent terms and conditions. Rent a car that makes your trip easy not a nightmare.

Working With Affiliate Programs

Everywhere you look you see affiliate program offers for
every product or service that you can think of. Some have
fully automated systems that sell high volumes of hard
products all over the world. In case you don’t know, “hard”
products are those that you can touch…unlike an ebook or
downloadable web template. Many affiliate programs have
several thousand affiliates and one or two of the bigger
companies have over one million affiliates.

What are the advantages of joining an affiliate program?

They provide a ready-made business. This is a very big plus
for those people who want to earn some kind of living off
the Internet but lack the knowledge or inclination to set up
a business by themselves.

Commissions and rewards are generally good, and the more
established programs offer a real chance of advancement to
higher and better-paid levels.

Other affiliates are usually on hand to offer practical
support.

What are the limitations?

You are restricted in your promotional activities due to the
fact that you do not actually own the affiliate site they
give you. You won’t be able to put such things as banners,
images, links, meta tags, etc. onto your page.
The URL of your affiliate page is often either too long or
contains such awkward things as question marks, which many
Search Engines will not index.

Any promotional ads or articles have probably already been
used by thousands of other people and consequently may have
lost its impact, making it more difficult to achieve sales
or referrals.

If the program you have joined has not yet established
itself (or in some cases even if it has), then you may
encounter problems with payments owed to you not being
honored. You also run the risk of low quality products or
sub-standard statistics that do not accurately record how
many referrals or sales you have made.

You may be required to purchase a minimum quantity of the
product on a regular basis before you start to qualify for
commissions or even before you can become an affiliate.
You may not get the technical or affiliate support you might
expect from the company. This may be due to inadequate
staffing, or the company’s negligence.

Other people in your downline do nothing to promote the
program.

At least four of the above limitations can be overcome with
a little time and effort. You could, for example, come up
with fresher ads to promote the program (provided this is
allowed).

If the company supplies the email addresses of people in
your downline, then you could offer to help the less active
members. Very often these people are passive not because
they are lazy or apathetic but merely because they don’t
know HOW to promote effectively! your guidance could mean
the difference between no sales or referrals and healthy
downlines and residual incomes.

As regards promoting your actual page, here are a couple of
little tricks that should overcome a number of
restrictions:

Cloak your Affiliate URL to stop hijackers Affiliate Masker
While this will not help you to get listed on the major
Search Engines, it will make your web page easier for
prospects to remember and type into their browser’s address
bar.

Go to your affiliate page. Place your mouse pointer anywhere
on the page and right click once. In the drop-down box
choose “View Source”. This will display the HTML for the
page. Save this to your hard drive as a HTML document using
the “Save As” function. Upload the page to your web site.
If you don’t have a web site then get some free web space
from one of these:

http://www.tripod.com/
http://www.fortunecity.com/
http://www.hypermart.net/index.gsp
http://www.coolchat.com/
http://www.crosswinds.net/
http://www.htmlpublishing.com/
http://www.freehomepages.com/
http://www.pageproducer.com/

Submit your ‘new’ page to the Search Engines. You are also
now able to place banner codes, links, images, testimonials,
in fact anything you want onto these pages, because you are
in control of the HTML. A word of caution, though. Don’t
change the actual HTML of your original affiliate page. Just
put the other stuff, like banners etc, around it.

Making this “mirror page” of your affiliate page will
dramatically improve your advertising options.

Germs Don’t Cause Disease, You Do

We once had an in-office day care. It was complete with a classroom, an area sectioned off for indoor play, kitchen and outside playground equipment. There was a full-time monitor/teacher and lots of little munchkins around the office interrupting us during the course of the day.

It was healthy and nice for moms and dads to be able to interact with their children during the day. If you own a business, think about doing this. If you are an employee, get together with coworkers to see what you can do to help the business you work for get one established. We operated ours for almost a decade, until most of the youngsters grew up. Several of them have even come back to work with us as young adults. We became like a home away from home.

I was the official sliver surgeon for all the kids. Our office is in a wooded area so almost every week there was a sliver drama. That’s when I got to perform my magic with terrifying instruments like a scalpel, forceps, needle and magnifying glasses. My little patients tried to be real brave and fight back tears, but their dilated pupils and clammy trembling hands revealed the true life threatening state they found themselves in. All the other kids were a wide-eyed and awed audience for these major surgical events. It was just like The Learning Channel surgery programs, but with a Sesame Street flair and a little less blood and guts. Once my patient’s survival was assured, there were lots of hugs and thanks. Then off they would all skip, relieved that their friend had survived one of life’s dire and perilous calamities. They could be heard around the building all abuzz with, “Did it hurt?” “I saw the blood!” “You were brave!” “How big was it?” “Glad that wasn’t me!”

Actually, everyone would be pretty brave about this except my own kids. To listen to them when I am removing a sliver not even visible except with magnification, you would swear I was working on a 2 x 4 with vice grips or sawing their limb off with a chain saw. No need to be brave when it’s Dad who’s working on you.

As I would work on sweaty, grubby little hands, I wondered how kids ever survive childhood with all the filth. If germs were really the true cause of disease, how could any of us survive? Do we really think washing our hands with antiseptic soap, disinfecting toilet seats, doorknobs and telephones, wearing surgeon-type face masks on the streets and getting vaccinated keeps all of the germs at bay?

One E. coli bacterium can produce four billion offspring by the next morning. Viruses, bacteria, fungi, protozoa and parasites are ubiquitous throughout nature in air, water, on surfaces, skin, food and ground. They are microscopic and in countless numbers. Just one gram of soil contains over a billion microorganisms. If you shoveled just one cubic meter of dirt, 35 pounds of it would be these microscopic critters. Some are pathogens; others are necessary for our survival. Without bacteria to consume garbage, we would have long ago been smothered under the refuse nature and we create.

Good bacteria (probiotics) on our skin and in our mouths and intestinal tract actually help thwart the bad bacteria. Disease causing pathogens can even exert a beneficial effect by stimulating immunity. That is the principle of vaccines. The thing that it seems science is trying to achieve – no bacteria at all – with obsessive disinfection and sterilization is neither possible nor beneficial.

For example, scientists attempting to rid chickens of salmonella (food-borne pathogens) tried a sterile environment. The result was that mortality increased because the chicken’s immune system could not develop properly without exposure to the pathogens it needed to be protected against. Germ-free chickens were fine so long as there were absolutely no germs around. But since that would never be possible, once exposed to the pathogens they would easily succumb to disease and die. The solution was to feed baby chicks the salmonella infested droppings of the mother hens. After all the sterility failed, they found the cure was in the filthy poop! (Wysong, R. L. Salmonella Enteritidis Infection From Eggs, Wysong e-Health Letter, September 1999.)

We could never sterilize the world if we wanted to. If we did it would result in our demise. The microbe paranoia serves primarily the interests of drug, vaccine and disinfectant manufacturers. (I am not suggesting reasonable hygiene is not in order.)

I hear you, “Yeah, but we would be having the plague and other epidemics if it weren’t for medicine.” Contrary to popular belief, diseases like polio, measles and typhus were not conquered by humans. Note in the accompanying graphs that the vaccine or chemotherapeutic agent that is credited with vanquishing the scourges was introduced after the majority of the decline in the disease had already occurred! (Why Modern Medicine is the Greatest Threat to Health http://www.wysong.net/health/hl_884.shtml) It would be like me taking credit for dropping the tide by bucketing water out of the ocean as the tide was receding. Infectious diseases have a natural ebb and flow and so does the general immunity of the population. That is the reason epidemics decline regardless of human intervention.

We can’t even eradicate the mosquito, a creature which we can see and for which we can examine every life stage in detail. How are we going to eradicate microorganisms, which, if crowded side-by-side, would number in the trillions to occupy the space of one mosquito?

Look at the creatures in the wild co-existing, and even thriving in what we would consider filth. Rabbits eat their stool, vultures eat rotten carcasses, and dogs will roll in the most putrid, decaying material they can find and then lick themselves clean and offer the perfumery to their friends to lick as well.

Children constantly have their fingers in their mouths after wallowing on the floor, playing in the toilet or exploring the garbage pail. We adults aren’t exactly sterile in our habits either. Up until relatively recently a bath once a year was considered plenty in western society. That or less is common elsewhere in the world to this day. Billions wipe themselves with their fingers (usually with the left hand, a good reason to shake with the right) and yet live in societies that rank higher on health scores than nations with bidets, perfumed toilet paper and disinfectant aerosols and soaps.

Don’t buy the simplistic germ-view of how we get disease. True, certain pathogenic organisms can be associated with disease, but likewise so are crows and buzzards associated with road kill. The buzzard is not responsible for the road kill, neither are the pathogenic organisms responsible for disease. They are both opportunists. They wait until the prey is weakened and then they dive in. In microcosm, infectious disease is like the carnivore-prey drama occurring throughout nature. Predators always choose the easiest meal: the unfit, the weak and disabled.

We are not victims. Disease does not strike us. The opposite view that disease is a result of virulent microorganisms lurking in our environment waiting to attack us, organisms we can’t even see much less understand, makes us dependent on experts who have a vested interest in our illness. No matter how much money we give them, they will not protect us from the dark germ forces in spite of their Star Wars antiseptics, vaccinations, antibiotics and chemotherapeutic agents.

We are in control of our own defenses. We either create the setting for health or the meal for pathogens. Our choice.

What’s the point? Why hire consultants? And How can you get the best out of them?

free  Comments Off on What’s the point? Why hire consultants? And How can you get the best out of them?
Jul 242023

Moving from organizational life to consulting life didn’t seem like a big deal to me. I’d been doing internal consulting for more than a decade. I’d been bringing consultants into my organisation as an “extra pair of hands” or as experts to present programs or coach executives. What I found as an internal customer was that hiring a consultant can be tricky. Through a trial and error process of discovery I found that the nature of the consulting relationship is the key to whether the company is going to get what it needs or throw money down a consulting black hole. Although a company is “borrowing” talent, not “buying” it the way they do when they hire someone, it’s still a major financial and time commitment. I spent a lot of time managing consultants. I figured “What’s the point?” if I didn’t get the best out of them. And .for the consultant, the consulting assignment has both a financial and reputational impact. Why not make this arrangement a win-win?

To do that I found we had to learn to trust each other. The approach to low trust by the organization is often a “taxi driver” approach. The consultant is paid by the hour or day. This is a contractual relationship versus a relational contract. The consultant does what he or she is told. The good news is that this is a good way to use “one-trick ponies.” When you have a speaker who can do a great presentation about what they know best this is the best way to use them. If you want any in-depth work from a consultant it’s best to try the partnering approach. As one client said “We are depending on you to get our bench-strength ready for their next jobs. His approach was to put me into a relational contract where I was committed to his company’s expected outcomes.

“Taxi driver” approach or partnering approach

One of the nicest compliments I ever got was “You don’t think like a consultant.” I realised that I see myself as partnering with my clients, almost as if I become part of their organisation for a period of time. When clients want to hire me by the hour, or minutes, I find it very strange. At one point, I was contracting with a prospective client who came out of a supply chain background. He spent the contracting period penny pinching me in all the aspects of the contract. For me, he was concentrating on the wrong aspects. When I tried to concentrate on the outcomes rather than the specifics of the process, he just didn’t “get it.” He was so used to taking farthings off widgets that he just couldn’t focus on the end results. The “taxi driver” approach didn’t engender enough trust for me to continue the contracting. I pulled myself out of the process.

I try not to work like a “taxi driver.” I have found that thinking of consulting as day labour gets me, and other consultants too , to act that way. I prefer thinking like a partner in the project’s success. It’s vital for a company to think this way too. Partnering is a trust builder. There is a mutual commitment to success.

Consultant partnering trust occurs when there is both personal and professional trust. Personal trust is each party doing what they say they’ll do, when they say they’ll do it. Professional trust is demonstrating the talent, expertise and an understanding of the consultant’s craft and of human behaviour that enables a consulting relationship to work.

Create a contractual relationship or a relational contract?

“Relationships of trust depend on our willingness to look not only to our own interests, but also the interests of other.” Peter Farquharson, Early 20th century English cricketer

Even if you’re hiring day labourers, a company wants its money’s worth or more. Although many consultants are hired on a short time scale, their organisational “fit” is essential. One of the best ways to ensure fit is by knowing the company and its needs as well as the needs of the project or intervention that the company needs. When a company insists on a detailed contract they often get just what they negotiated and nothing more. My belief is that it’s vital to keep your “eyes on the prize.” What is it that the company and the specific client(s) want to get out of the relationship? Contracting is where you ensure that the commitment and professional expertise are there. There’s an old American saying that could apply to contracting, “Good fences make good neighbours.” By setting up the parameters in contracting the participants are then free to do more but not less.

It is vital that those who are doing the consulting be part of the contracting phase. If the person who initiates the engagement is the “finder” but doesn’t do the work it may not be a good idea. That also goes for having a “minder” and a bunch of “grinders” whom you don’t know well. If you contract with the experienced folks there is not enough pay-off from the rookies. It’s vital that you get to know the consultant(s) you’re using before, during and after the consulting engagement. Though the consultant(s) may not be employees they should be treated as if they are personally responsible. As an independent consultant, and previously as a corporate buyer of consulting services, I have found that independents are often the best choices. There have been at least a dozen situations when I’ve been called in after someone from a consulting firm hasn’t delivered what was expected. Don’t forget that you are hiring the person and not the company.

The way that a consultant (firm) approaches contracting is revealing. Are they happy to spend as much time as it takes in this phase? The time that it takes to contract and work with the company representative who is doing the contract is part of the big “bucks” that consultants charge. Part of the contracting should be a negotiated “package”, or programme price. Part of the package price is that the consultant should not be charging for every small cost like taxi fares for local work.

The package should include written information that is necessary for the process to work. That might mean something in writing that can serve as a roadmap for clients to follow as they work with consultant. A report at the end of the consulting process is not one of the worthwhile things to pay for. When the consultant has left, the report is rarely of use. It may feel good to get one but often goes on a shelf after the consulting engagement is finished.

Most of all, I believe in generosity of spirit on the part of the consultant and the company. That means giving more than the contract stipulates when it’s needed. That means consultants occasionally giving more consulting time, without extra fees, for those who need it and the company staying supportive and flexible with the needs of the consultant. In other words, the parties involved should be responsive to the other’s needs. Over time, this kind of attitude breeds trust.

Being a consultant is a bit like being an employee for a period of time. Just the way employees “hold” the needs of their job and the needs of their company in their consciousness, an excellent consultant “holds” clients and their needs and the work in their thinking time outside of the actual assignment time. I am constantly surprised when a client says that a workshop I gave was only six hours so they that they should not have to pay for the entire day of eight hours. How amazing is that? It may have taken days to prepare the work which may, or may not have been remunerated. Moreover, when a consultant is at one company for six hours there is no way that two more hours can be squeezed into that day. That is one of the reasons why daily fees don’t make sense for excellent work. The other is the thinking time that involves “holding” the client in your thoughts and plans.

Be careful with one-trick ponies and “consultant creep”

“The people I distrust most are those who want to improve our lives but have only one course of action.” Frank Herbert , 20th century science fiction author

A company usually hires consultants for their expertise. In their area of expertise they need to be role models. I once hired a consultant who was superb at educating and empowering personal assistants to maximise their potential. When she was asked by an executive to work out a conflict among a group of personal assistants she overstepped her expertise and failed miserably. It’s not uncommon for this kind of thing to happen since expertise is often specialised.

It’s also the responsibility of the consultant to keep the company representative informed of every potential consulting request that the consultant gets to do additional consulting. Someone in the company needs to keep track to avoid “consultant creep,” or consultants running amok around the organisation. I find that someone to vet each request, and the appropriateness of the consultant(s) for the request, is the only way to ensure the trust that you have the right person in place.

Trust comes from bringing in consultants who don’t come in with a prepared idea of the issue and the solution. Consulting companies that have “models” that they use can be guilty of this approach.

Consultants need guts rather than glory

It’s too easy for consultants to be sycophants rather than speak what they believe needs to be said to individuals of power and authority. This is not the place where executives should be told what they want to hear rather than what they need to hear and learn. It is important that a consultant, beyond an “extra pair of hands,” be responsible for moving individuals, or the culture, to take action. The trick is that the “push” needs to be strong enough to show action and gentle enough not to cause reactive “push back,” or organisational resistance. This is a major area of trust!

On the whole, mature consultants who are beyond wanting their own days of personal glory make some of the best choices. If the consulting work isn’t satisfactory it’s time to give the consultant(s) feedback. The way that they accept and respond to feedback without defending tells you a lot about their professional trust. I love adapting as a consultant. It’s wonderful to get feedback and have a chance to adapt to the needs of the company and the individual(s) involved.

Consultants who need a lot of kudos and strokes can be trouble. A consultant can be a bit like a catalyst. They can have enormous impact for positive change yet not be part of the end result. If they need the glory they are not mature enough for this kind or work.

Weight Loss Help: Break Your Weight Loss Plateau in 2 Steps
By John Tiniakos

What is a weight loss plateau? This is the point at which you stop losing weight during the course of a weight loss program. Once most people reach this point they have a very difficult time losing any further weight. And this is the most frustrating part of any diet or weight loss plan.

It is also the reason that most dieters give up on their weight loss efforts. You fought so hard to lose a substantial amount of weight and then suddenly you hit a brick wall. You can’t lose another ounce, no matter how much you continue to diet or exercise. You feel disappointed, defeated and you surrender. Then you develop guilt feelings and a vicious cycle begins.

Well, what if I told you it doesn’t have to be that way at all. In fact, most people can overcome their weight loss plateaus with the right system – unless there is a medical reason that hinders their weight loss.

Because everyone has different metabolic rates and genetic make-ups, weight loss plateaus and the rate of overcoming them may vary from person to person.

Overcome Your Weight Loss Plateau in 2 Steps:

The first and most important thing is to eat less food on a daily basis. “That’s it?” you ask. This is so simple and trivial it sounds stupid. You were probably expecting some complicated diet plan that involved food combining, complicated meal planning, or excluding entire food groups – something of that nature, right? Sorry to disappoint you.

The fact remains, that weight gain and weight loss is directly related to input and output. And the first thing you need to do is reduce the input part. How many calories do you need? To see a formula that can calculate exactly how many calories you need for weight loss, see my e-book at http://www.nulife-weightloss.com/natural.htm.

The fact that you are overweight simply means you are consuming more calories than your body burns on a daily basis. Over time, these excess calories are stored as fat and before you know it you have a hard time fitting into your clothes. And you try to convince yourself that your clothes have shrunk (not that you have gained any extra pounds).

The other reason this factor is important to keep in mind, is that many diets out there falsely claim you can lose weight no matter how much of their foods you eat. And one of the arguments they use is that certain macronutrients are much less fattening than others. Or that a certain combination of foods has some magical or scientifically proven effect on weight loss.

In all fairness, however, it is true for example, that protein has a greater impact on thermogenesis than carbohydrate. In other words, you burn more calories during digestion and absorption of protein than you do with carbohydrate. At the same time, though, there are several important factors to remember here.

First of all, diet induced thermogenesis (DIT) has very little effect on weight loss (as low as 3% of the total daily energy expenditure – TDEE). For this reason, if you eat too much protein, DIT just cannot burn it fast or effectively enough. In other words, at some point your body will begin storing this extra protein as fat.

Secondly, your body naturally burns between 60%-75% carbohydrate during physical activity. It stands to reason then, that the same percentage should represent your daily intake of carbohydrate. The key is to cut down on refined carbohydrates and increase your consumption of whole and fresh carbohydrates such as fruits, vegetables, whole gains etc. REF

On the food combining issue, there hasn’t been any substantial scientific evidence that links different food combinations with weight reduction.

The second crucial factor for overcoming weight loss plateaus is participation in regular exercise. That is, healthy eating, that includes a proper amount of daily calories combined with an effective exercise routine will help you break your weight loss plateau, guaranteed.

Why people who exercise cannot break their plateau.

The main reason most people have a problem surpassing their plateau is because they use improper exercise methods. The theory that moderate exercise for 3 or 4 days a week is enough to lose weight is essentially not true. This method might produce a little initial weight loss, but is just not enough to get you passed your weight loss plateau.

Your target should be at least one hour of cardiovascular exercise at an intensity of 65%-85% of your maximum heart rate – in other words, at a fairly vigorous level of intensity. Exercises could include, cycling, jogging, cross country skiing (or machine equivalent), step climbing, power walking (that includes walking on inclines), etc. Furthermore, you must exercise at a frequency of 5-7 times per week.

One way to turn the fat burning process up a notch – to get even better and faster results – is to include high intensity training in your workout routine. This involves training near your maximum heart rate for shorter time periods. Examples of this are sprinting, skipping rope, walking or running up a hill, etc. One way to combine the two methods is, for example, to jog for 45 minutes and follow that with 10-15 ten-second sprints with 30-60 second rest periods in between.

Believe me, train this way and you’ll see those last 10, 20 or 30 pounds literally melt off. If you are not in the physical condition required to perform at this level then you can work towards this goal gradually. If you’re new to exercise or if you train at much lower levels you should get clearance from your doctor first.

Once you reach a body weight that you’re comfortable with, you can switch your workouts to the weight maintenance level. That is, you can reduce the exercise frequency to 3-4 times per week while training at the same intensity. That’s it.

So remember, eat healthy, get off the computer and get into the training mode. Unfortunately, they haven’t invented the magic weight loss formula we’re all dreaming about…yet. Good luck!

If you ever wanted to earn a high income, you simply must read this article as an investment in your own future.

Have you ever pictured yourself going from barely making it to having more money than you possibly know what to do with? I imagine you have. I too had this same dream to make lots of money.

I can show you how to turn this dream into reality with some little known secrets that can transform your thinking and the size of your bank account!

Do not worry I am going to tell you these secrets right here in this article. First, let me tell you about the power of these secrets. The secrets have allowed me to survive being downsized without having to worry how I was going to pay my bills. I have been paid thousands of dollars to teach these secrets in private sessions.

WHY AM I SHARING THIS INFORMATION?

Up until now I have not publicly shared these secrets and made my clients swear they would not reveal them. I am sure you are wondering why I decided to reveal them now. I decided to do this because I want to find out how many people I can help make wealthy. You will soon realize I love challenges.

SECRETS REVEALED

I call the secrets Dave Diamonds™. This is because once you learn the secrets you can use them forever and they will never lose their value. An element of Dave Diamonds™ is to find out how you can use leverage to earn substantial amounts of money. Leverage is the power of using a small sum of money to make a huge sum of money. For example, I experienced taking $100 and turning it into a profit of $43,200 in one business day!

Another element of Dave Diamonds™ is to find out where you can use the power of internal profit reinvestment. Internal profit reinvestment is used to multiple the profits on your initial investment. After you come up with the money to invest the first time you simply take the profits and reinvest them to earn even more profits.

Still another element of Dave Diamonds™ is to look for occurrences that happen regularly. For example, the summer driving season occurs every year. The summer driving season presents us with many opportunities to make large amounts of cash as you will soon see.

HOW TO USE THE SECRETS

An area that is thriving with opportunities to use the secrets is in commodity investing. I use the secrets to make large sums of cash by investing in crude oil. The reason is because crude oil is used to make gasoline. During the peak summer driving season in the United States, crude oil increases in price. This increase in price means a high profit for the people who know when and how to properly use the secrets.

I purchase one crude oil contract which currently gives me a 15 to 1 leverage ratio. In other words, every $1 allows me to control $15 worth of crude oil. I then use any profits made using this 15 to 1 ratio to purchase additional crude oil contracts. This means I only had to purchase the first contract, the additional contracts were purchased using internal profit reinvestment.

I PROVE THE SECRETS WORK TO THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE WEEKLY

Thousands of people watch weekly for free as I prove the secrets work. I issued a $100,000 Challenge to prove you can earn a yearly six figure income from home. During the $100,000 Challenge I give my actual trades well in advance of me placing them. I demonstrate using the secrets how earning $100,000 is within your reach!

The documented results of the first 11 weeks of the program are as follows:
